![]() ![]() The AI will not only have top tier - but be able to settle new cities, defend them, while sending a steady stream of (for example) Golems and Flame Tanks at me (my 2 hero stacks in my last game by about turn 50 had destroyed 8 Golems! with 8 more coming at me). I haven't won a game yet despite streamlining my playstyle and producing top tier units as fast as possible. Now, I've started playing again and the AI clearly cheats in huge amounts compared to the old "King" setting. I won 80% of the time and the 20% losses were due to poor starting positions usually. ![]() and I ran the LAA program abuot 3 weeks ago and haven't had a crash since but YMMV.I took a break from AoW3 - before the break I played on King AI (7 opponents) on an x-large map (surface only) with no cities (we all had to settle) and average everything but no dwellings, roads or wandering monsters. I only just started playing AoW3 recently but want to point out that I was experiencing the odd crash as well and I've got quite a powerful rig with 64GB of RAM, etc. More likely any new patch will overwrite your fixed exe and you'll have to repeat the process. As a precaution I usually rename the original exe back in the game's directory as "" in case its needed for a patch to be installed but I haven't had an issue yet. Run the program from the little window it opens (it takes just a sec or 2) and that's it! Your exe will now 'see' over 4GB of RAM. I install it to its own directory and you simply copy the exe you want to 'fix' here. It doesn't monkey with the exe in any way so does not register as a hack or cheat and runs fine with any game I've used it with going all the way back to the original Supreme Commander which would bog down heavily late-game with high unit counts. To surpass the 32 bit memory limit in Aow3 (or any older title) I just use a little utility I downloaded from TechPowerUP a few years ago called LAA_204 which stands for 'Large Address Aware' and what it does is simply modify the games exe to allow for over 4GB accessibility. ![]()
